I’ve really got the best of everything here. I can start my days walking the dog along some of the most beautiful beaches in the country — and then head into work calm, refreshed and ready for the next big challenge.
I really feel like an important member of East Lothian Council — and I’ve been given many opportunities to develop my career over the years, and I hope everyone would say I’ve built excellent working relationships
with a real variety of people. A few years ago, I was encouraged to do an HNC in Business Administration — and then went on to achieve a Certificate in Personnel Practice. I also attended
Napier University on a day release basis to do an MSc course in Human Resource Management. I would never have thought of attempting this without the support of my colleagues — and this has
given me a real sense of achievement, confidence and professionalism....
